I got to spend some quality time with the successor to the one you posted.
I never really saw the point but after everyone kept stopping to have a look and comment and I spent more time with it, it grew on me a lot.
Unfortunately the owner sold it a year later for a Mk3.5 Focus ST.

Ye’, the blue is nice and all but you see the blue everywhere, but the green really pops in the sun.
I’ve got to give it to the owner though, even though he sold it and got a Mk3.5 Focus ST (he didn’t even think of waiting for the Mk3 Focus RS), he did use the car as a daily driver from the day he bought it to the day he sold it.

Still the best design language for this car. Yeah, a little bland, and it was diluted by being expanded to every non-US Mondeo and US Five Hundred/Taurus...but this was still Ford’s best true “world car” experiment.
And in the US, this plaform ran for 8+ years or something ridiculous. It was more than a little tired at the end of its run.

That is still one of my favorite car designs. For years I wanted to convert my SVT Focus, but never had the money.
